About BigBargain Binz
BigBargain Binz is a liquidation bin store offering customers an exciting treasure-hunt shopping experience. Our inventory changes regularly and includes electronics, home products, beauty items, toys, accessories and other general merchandise. Bin prices decrease throughout the week, giving customers new reasons to visit every day.
We are currently hiring experienced Cashier/Customer Service Associates to join our Mississauga store. The successful candidates will be friendly, dependable and comfortable working in a busy retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Process cash, debit and credit card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Apply the correct daily pricing and promotions.
- Count cash and maintain an accurate cash register.
- Answer customer questions about prices, store procedures and merchandise.
- Assist with customer line management during busy periods.
- Follow company procedures regarding purchases, returns and exchanges.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized and fully supplied.
- Assist with organizing merchandise and maintaining the sales floor when required.
- Help prevent loss by following cash-handling and merchandise-control procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other employees and store management.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, POS or cash-handling experience is required.
- Previous retail or customer-service experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Honest, reliable and punctual.
- Friendly and confident when communicating with customers.
- Able to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and assist with light merchandise handling.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
