Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Room Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering positive relationships with children and families. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and parents.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment tailored to infants' developmental needs
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, needs, and daily activities
- Follow all licensing regulations and company policies related to infant care and safety
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and classroom management
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, health information, and incident reports
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed
- Support the integration of children with special needs or disabilities into the classroom environment
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills such as French are a plus
- Strong childcare experience with infants; classroom experience preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and child development principles
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs compassionately and effectively
- Computer skills including basic computer operation for record keeping and documentation
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Time management skills to ensure timely completion of daily tasks
- Leadership qualities to guide and support assistant staff or interns when applicable
- Writing skills for accurate documentation of child progress and incident reports

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
