Overview
This role is to provide supportive services related to the junior mining industry including drilling programs and exploration field work. This includes geotechnician responsibilities as well as field assistant duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a curiosity for discovery, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments.
Duties
- Geotechnician responsibilities including drill core measurements and data entry
- Cutting of core samples and tasks related to sample analysis preparation
- Conduct field surveys and collect geologic and environmental data including prospecting and soil sampling
- Provide support to exploration programs including general labour and handling of core samples
- Maintain accurate records of all field activities, observations, and data sets for future reference
- Experience in data collection methods within environmental, geologic or geographic contexts
- Background in research methodologies related to environmental science, geology, or geography fields
- Prior experience working in outdoor or field environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies while maintaining attention to detail
