Field Safety Associate
Location: Mississauga, ON
Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + benefits
Overview
We are seeking a Field Safety Associate to support ongoing construction projects across the GTA. This role is highly field-focused and will work closely with site teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, promote a strong safety culture, and proactively mitigate risk on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits across multiple projects
- Enforce compliance with OHSA, company policies, and project-specific safety plans
- Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and reporting
- Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety procedures
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to field personnel
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and safety records
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to drive a proactive safety culture
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of construction safety experience in a field-based role
- Strong knowledge of Ontario health & safety legislation (OHSA)
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work across multiple job sites
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Certifications (Preferred/Required)
- NCSO designation or in progress
- First Aid / CPR
- Working at Heights
- COR knowledge is an asset
