Embassy Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport is looking for a friendly, focused, and reliable professional with hospitality experience to join our Front Office team! We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences, and we are seeking a dedicated individual who can bring a strong hospitality background and a positive attitude to our property.
Job Overview: Guest Service Agent (Part-Time)
As a Part-Time Guest Service Agent (GSA), you will be the face of our hotel. Your primary responsibility is to check guests in and out in a timely, professional, and friendly manner while processing all payments according to established procedures. Utilizing your hospitality background, you will anticipate guest needs, promote hotel amenities, and resolve any issues to ensure total guest satisfaction and a seamless stay.
What You Will Be Doing

Guest Services: Welcome guests, check them in/out, issue keys, answer phones, and handle VIP/group arrivals.

Financials: Process cash and credit transactions, post charges, complete daily reports, and balance your cash bank.

Sales & Revenue: Up-sell rooms to maximize revenue and promote hotel services/outlets.

Problem Solving: Resolve guest issues using appropriate service recovery gestures; escalate major concerns to management.

Reservations: Book, cancel, and modify individual or group reservations.

Teamwork: Coordinate with other departments and assist with concierge duties or room tours as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements

Experience: 1+ years of hotel front desk/guest service experience and previous hospitality experience. Some housekeeping experience is also required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (Some college preferred).

Core Skills: Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Fluent English (other languages preferred).

Professional Attributes: Friendly, hospitality-focused, highly organized, and possesses strong attention to detail.

Performance: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, stressful environment.

Physical: Ability to stand/remain stationary behind the desk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate computer/property management systems.

Schedule: Flexibility to work part-time hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Health and Safety Requirements:

Follow safe work procedures as outlined in Departmental Policy and Procedures manuals.

Know and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations, as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour.

Report all injuries or illnesses to a supervisor or manager immediately.

Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee by bringing health and safety concerns or issues to the attention of the committee.
