Cabot Timbermart is seeking a motivated and organized Purchaser to join our growing team. This position is responsible for purchasing inventory, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring stock levels, and helping ensure our customers receive the products they need in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
· Purchase inventory for the building supply store
· Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
· Work closely with suppliers and sales staff
· Track pricing, promotions, and product availability
· Assist with inventory control and merchandising
· Ensure accurate receiving and purchasing records
Qualifications:
· Purchasing or retail experience considered an asset
· Knowledge of building materials is preferred
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Computer experience and attention to detail required
