Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Income Tax Preparer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. Duties
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses eventually final and trust returns
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools to organize financial information
- Utilize Microsoft software such as Excel, Outlook, and OneNote
- Perform bank reconciliations, accounts receivable processing, and payroll management as needed
- Greet clients and answer phone
- Some administration work such as checking mail, managing common email account, change date stamps and more
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings
Skills
- Some understanding in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools
- Proficient in Microsoft software such as Excel, Outlook, and OneNote
- Knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable, account reconciliation, and payroll processes
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and explaining of tax return results
- Prior experience in financial services or related fields is preferred but not required
- On the job training will be provided

- The position can be part-time off season and full time tax season from Mar and Apr
