Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to produce precision metal components in accordance with blueprints and specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with various machines and fabrication processes to ensure high-quality output and efficient production flow.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
- Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software to achieve precise angles and dimensions
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for accurate fabrication
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, tape measures, and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Assist with loading raw materials using forklifts as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, and welding tasks as required
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming for press brake machines; experience with CNC laser cutting and/or punching equipment is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances
- Experience with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and quality inspection techniques
- Familiarity with forklift handling for material movement is desirable
- Knowledge of welding processes and assembly procedures is advantageous
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication and quality control
- Ability to safely lift and move 50+ lbs
