Bullwhip Logistics is seeking a professional 5-Ton Owner-Operator to join our fleet on a standby basis. We require a reliable partner to handle freight overflow and specialized large-scale deliveries when our internal fleet reaches its limit.
The Role
This is a flexible, "on-call" position ideal for an owner-operator looking to supplement their existing routes with high-priority city and regional work. You will be our go-to resource for shipments that exceed the capacity of standard cargo vans and 5 ton trucks.
- Capacity Support: Step in during peak periods to ensure our service level agreements are met, particularly for larger freight and bulk deliveries.
- Service Standards: You must be prepared to execute "3-5 Ton Truck" services, ranging from Regular Service (3-hour window) to Rush Service (2-hour window).
- Freight Handling: Deliveries may include diverse items such as vehicle parts, large office equipment, and palletized goods.
- Professional Representation: As a representative of Bullwhip Logistics, you will interact with various clients, maintaining the high standards of conduct required by our partners.
Requirements
- Equipment: Must own and operate a well-maintained 5-Ton Truck.
- Licensing & Insurance: Must possess valid commercial licensing and insurance coverage that meets or exceeds contract requirements (e.g., minimum $2,000,000 liability).
- Bonding: Proposed resources must be bonded in accordance with provincial legislation.
- Safety Gear (PPE): Must have a safety vest and steel-toe footwear for access to secure sites and loading docks, such as Canada Post facilities.
- Communication: Must have a local or toll-free number and be highly responsive to dispatch calls for same-day requests.
