We are currently looking for a Labourer/Equipment Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be working on a variety of job sites labouring on projects involving excavation, backfill, grading, demolition, snow clearing, sanitary, storm, water services, etc. The role will also provide opportunities to learn and build experience operating a mixture of small equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, snow plows, and other equipment.

Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy construction equipment
- Perform daily reporting, equipment inspections and service including fueling and minor repairs
- Communicating any unsafe conditions or accidents/ injuries in a timely manner
- Provide direction to trucks and labourers on site when necessary
- Other duties may be assigned as required
Desired Skills & Experience
- 0-3 years of previous small equipment operating experience
- Interest in continuing to learn and grow with the business
- Solid work ethic and interest in being a part of the team
- Understand design drawings, utility locates and able to set grades
- Ability to work independently, problem solve and meet schedule objectives
- Must have a valid drivers license (DZ / AZ license is an asset)
- Comply with all governing industry safety and regulatory requirements
Work Conditions
- 24/7 availability may be required, overtime as required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Travel to off-site locations.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend and/or crouch for long periods of time.
