Overview
Newo Global Energy is an Indigenous-focused energy and workforce development organization working at the intersection of renewable energy, employment, training, and community development. We are looking for a motivated young person who is interested in developing a career in business administration, operations, renewable energy, and solar installation.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to learn how a solar company operates from both the office and the field.The successful candidate will spend part of their time supporting administrative and operational functions and will have opportunities to learn about and participate in solar installation activities.
We are looking for someone who can change hats quickly—moving from administrative responsibilities in the morning to supporting a solar project or field activity in the afternoon.
The successful candidate will work closely with the operations team, project managers, solar installers, customers, suppliers, and community partners.
This position is ideal for a youth who is:

Comfortable communicating with customers, contractors, and community members
Willing to learn basic solar installation practices and job-site procedures
Interested in developing a long-term career in energy, construction, administration, or project coordination
No previous solar installation experience is required. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities - Office administration and operations
- Provide general administrative support to the Newo Global Energy team
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails
- Schedule meetings, appointments, site visits, and project activities
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Enter and update information in company databases and spreadsheets
- Assist with preparing documents, reports, forms, proposals, and presentations
- Organize project documentation and records
- Assist with tracking invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and project expenses
- Support timesheet and payroll documentation
- Assist with maintaining accurate customer and project information
- Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up items
- Assist with general office organization and supplies
- Assist with designing and scheduling social media posts
- Prior office experience with strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
