Reporting to the Sr. Manager – Forecasting & Analytics, this role will support buying & allocating the promotional programs for multiple categories within the Health & Beauty and Home & Entertainment group. In alignment with the budgetary targets the Sr. Analysts are required to support accurately quantifying the forecasted demand for all items in the assortment plan. The Sr. Analyst will also support the Sr. Manger in overseeing the end-to-end seasonal program; ensuring all activities from pre-season buying to end-of-season inventory exit flow seamlessly in accordance to the milestone calendar.
The primary work location will be 2 Fraser Avenue, Toronto, ON M6K 1Y6, however, flexibility is required, as there will be occasions when the role will need to work from 1 Presidents Choice Circle, Brampton
Accountabilities:
- Support the Sr. Manager to determine accurate seasonal & promotional alloctiona to achieve divisional seasonal budgetary targets.
- Create a buy plan that accounts for multiple merchandising locations and any incremental quantities required for promotional activities.
- Manage team deliverables, ensuring that milestones are met in accordance to the established go-to-market timelines across all programs.
- Oversee all pre-season buy activities, including Layout Module creation/maintenance, Assortment Data Integrity, and buy upload to JDA DA.
- Participate in Final Buy Review meetings with Senior Leadership.
- Report and communicate in-season performance to Senior Leadership and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate financial risk from delayed inventory, including contingency planning.
- Support Supply Chain in all allocations/replenishment activities.
- Alongside, the Planning and Analytics team, manage the sell-down and exiting of inventory through the Mark Down Optimization process for seasonal programs.
- Provide data driven insights and reporting that support space optimization during the Strategy Review of future programs.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Business or Economics
- Superior analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
- Detail oriented and strong time management skills
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data
- Strong Excel fundaments is required; SQL proficiency is highly valued
- Experience with MicroStrategy, Teradata and SAP preferred
- Retail Planning and/or Category Management experience is an asset
