The Server/Bartender is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front-of-house Food and Beverage experience which includes the Humble Donkey café and bar, and event and banquet spaces.
The Server/Bartender is primarily responsible for:
- Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
- Serve Alcoholic/non-Alcoholic beverages in conjunction with licensing/liquor regulations for residents and non-residents.
- Ensure knowledge of the menu and all products.
- Ensure that floor stations are stocked and tidy at all times.
- Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues.
- Possesses the ability to sell or influence others by up-selling and suggestive selling;
- Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner.
- Collects payment for drinks served and balances all receipts;
- Prepares inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies;
- Complies with all food and beverage regulations;
- Adhere to hotel grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We are Looking for...
- Experience working as a Server and Bartender, preferably within a full-service hotel environment with proven experience leading a team in servicing large functions
- Previous experience in cash handling
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations
- A professional attitude with good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment-maintaining composure and objectivity with guests and team members
- Available to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required
