Café by day, bistro by night, we proudly play host to morning coffee and viennoiserie, breezy business lunches, weeknight rendezvous, lazy Sunday brunches and everything in between. Our menus feature a greatest hits list of timeless French classics — from traditional onion soup and steak tartare, to comforting boeuf Bourguignon and seafood bouillabaisse. On weekends, we invite our guests to rise and shine for a rich variety of pastries, crêpes, galettes and breakfast sandwiches.
Under the direction of the General Manager, Café Lunette is looking for a Server Assistantto provide warm, attentive service and ensure an exceptional guest experience from start to finish. This role combines front-of-house hospitality with beverage preparation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both guest interaction and hands-on café service. We are currently seeking candidates with full-time and morning availability.
What you will be doing:
- creating a warm, positive guest experience through friendly interaction and attentive service;
- enthusiastically inform guests about our offerings and share your menu knowledge to make the best recommendations;
- preparing and serving beverages to standard while ensuring accuracy in all POS entries;
- monitoring food and beverage quality, presentation, and overall guest satisfaction;
- maintaining a clean and organized service area, following all food safety and cleanliness standards;
- completing opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and support team operations as needed.
The person were looking for has:
- a valid Smart Serve Certification;
- open availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- 1+ years experience as a Server Assistant and as a Barista
- familiarity with French cuisines is considered an asset;
- strong classic cocktail knowledge;
- passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service;
- strong communication skills;
- the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
