About Free Agent
Free Agent is a Vancouver‑based athlete networking platform that connects athletes with opportunities, resources, and career‑development tools while serving both B2B (universities, athletic departments, professional leagues, brands) and B2C (individual athletes seeking exposure, sponsorships, and career support) markets. The company leverages AI and data analytics to streamline athlete recruitment and performance tracking in the fast‑growing sports‑technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily outbound outreach using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and HubSpot to identify contacts such as athletic directors, league operations managers, brand partnership leads, and emerging athletes.
- Follow structured call‑and‑email cadences, incorporating AI‑assisted sequencing tools to increase response rates.
- Research target accounts to uncover basic needs (e.g., athlete visibility, recruiting efficiency, brand partnership goals) that align with Free Agent’s value proposition.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads using BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) criteria and pass warmed‑up opportunities to Account Executives with clear notes.
- Log all activities accurately in HubSpot and provide weekly activity reports (calls, emails, meetings set).
- Assist with marketing‑driven campaigns (webinars, virtual events) by following up on registrants and gathering feedback on messaging.
- Participate in weekly sales training, role‑play sessions, and shadowing of senior reps to develop objection‑handling and pitching abilities.
- Continuously test and refine outreach templates, subject lines, and call scripts to improve meeting‑set rates.
Required Qualifications
- 0‑1 year of sales, customer‑service, or lead‑generation experience (internships, campus roles, or relevant volunteer work count).
- Demonstrated ability to hit activity targets (calls, emails, touches) in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment.
- Basic familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and sales engagement tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Outreach).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort initiating conversations with coaches, administrators, and athletes.
- Interest in the sports industry and a willingness to learn about NCAA, NAIA, and professional league structures.
- Self‑starter attitude with excellent time management and organizational skills.
