Automotive Shop Assistant / Technician

Dales Performance Automotive is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team. We specialize in classic vehicles, restorations, and hot rods, and are looking for a candidate with hands-on automotive experience and a genuine appreciation for classic and performance automobiles.
This role combines automotive repair and maintenance, customer service, parts procurement, and general shop support responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Performing repairs and maintenance on classic cars and hot rods
- Assisting with restorations, repairs, maintenance, and various shop projects
- Ordering parts and communicating professionally with suppliers
- Answering telephone inquiries and corresponding with customers
- Maintaining shop organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Supporting daily shop operations and workflow
- Following instructions and collaborating effectively as part of a team
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working on and repairing classic vehicles
- Strong knowledge of classic cars and hot rods
- Previous automotive experience is required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
- Willingness to learn and follow direction
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shop environment
Compensation
$22–$25 per hour, negotiable based on experience and licensing status
Schedule
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
