Elon Design Corp is a general contracting and interior fit-out firm specializing in commercial restaurant buildouts, retail and office fit-outs, and custom millwork throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We deliver fast-track projects on tight schedules for hospitality and commercial clients.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Site Superintendent to run our jobsites day to day — coordinating trades, holding the schedule, and making sure work is built to drawing, on time, and to code.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations, trade sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
- Enforce the construction schedule; identify delays early and drive recovery plans
- Conduct daily site walks, quality control, and deficiency tracking through to close-out
- Coordinate with municipal inspectors, health inspectors, ESA, and TSSA as required
- Review shop drawings and site conditions; flag conflicts and RFIs to the Project Manager
- Maintain daily site reports, photo logs, delivery records, and manpower counts
- Enforce all OHSA and site safety requirements; conduct toolbox talks and safety documentation
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, hoarding, and landlord/property management coordination
- Support permit inspections, occupancy requirements, and final handover
Requirements
- 5+ years of site supervision experience in commercial interior fit-out, restaurant, or retail construction
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and OHSA
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, and millwork drawings
- Working At Heights and WHMIS certification (current)
- Experience coordinating multiple trades on fast-track schedules
- Strong communication skills with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable with digital site reporting, photos, and daily logs
Assets
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Restaurant or food service buildout experience (kitchen equipment, hoods, grease ducts, walk-ins)
- Experience with landlord-controlled buildings and mall/plaza fit-out requirements
- Millwork installation coordination experience

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
