Phlebotomist / Medical Office Assistant at Holy Cross Family Medicine Clinic
Holy Cross Family Medicine Clinic is seeking a reliable and motivated Phlebotomist to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate must be punctual, professional, able to work independently, and comfortable assisting with both laboratory and front-office duties.
Preference will be given to Spanish speaking Candidates as 95% of our patient population is Latin
Must have Canadian Education for phlebotomy and Canadian experience.
We do not accept work visa's unfortunately. Must be Permanent resident or Canadian Citizen
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Location: Holy Cross Family Medicine Clinic
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures safely and efficiently
- Process and prepare laboratory specimens
- Operate and assist with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) procedures and injections
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory and treatment areas
- Assist physicians and staff with clinical duties as required
- Support Medical Office Assistant (MOA) duties during slower periods, including:
- Patient check-in and scheduling
- Answering phones
- Filing and scanning documents
- General administrative support
Requirements
- Previous phlebotomy experience required
- Must know how to prepare and run PRP procedures
- Strong punctuality and reliability are mandatory
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
- Must speak fluent Spanish
- Experience in a medical clinic setting preferred
- Knowledge of Med Access EMR software will be given priority
- MOA experience is considered an asset
