RF Transparent is a growing company specializing in glass railing systems and building materials distribution. As our operations continue to expand in multiple provinces and the US, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller with strong expertise in financial management, internal controls, budgeting, cash flow management, and process improvement, combined with a hands-on approach and a highly resourceful mindset.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Dext, and cloud-based financial management systems.
- Good knowledge of Shopify, Clover, POS systems, and e-commerce sales data management.
- Experience in cash management and cash flow forecasting.
- Experience with intercompany transactions, financial consolidations, and multi-entity accounting structures.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian sales taxes (GST/HST and QST) and tax compliance.
- Ability to establish and improve internal controls, financial procedures, and operational processes.
- Experience implementing, integrating, automating, and optimizing financial and accounting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager, or equivalent position.
- Experience in a multi-entity environment.
- Experience supervising and managing teams.
- Previous experience in a CPA accounting firm is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing year-end files, financial statements, and tax compliance documentation.
- Experience working with external CPAs, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Experience in e-commerce, distribution, warehousing, building materials, or retail industries is considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation (or currently pursuing one).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a CPA accounting firm.
- Knowledge of compilation engagements, financial statements, and corporate tax returns.
- Experience with corporate reorganizations and intercompany structures.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Dext, Shopify, and accounting integrations.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
