SARI Therapeutic Riding is a registered charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with disabilities through adaptive equine-assisted programs. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on, and motivated Facility Maintenance Coordinator to help maintain our beautiful farm and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for our participants, volunteers, staff, and horses.

Position summary:
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of SARI’s farm property and facilities while ensuring compliance with PATH Intl. standards, organizational policies, and safety procedures. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our therapeutic riding center.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, fencing, and equipment.
- Maintain farm facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment.
- Oversee pasture management and general property upkeep.
- Monitor facility needs and identify maintenance priorities.
- Research repair solutions, obtain quotes, and communicate property or building concerns to the Executive Director.
- Assist with annual budget planning by identifying anticipated maintenance and capital improvement needs.
- Track operational expenses and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
- Support the preparation of the property for fundraising events, community programs, and special events.
- Attend on-site events and assist with property-related initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience in facility, farm, or property maintenance is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repairs is preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s license is required
Hours and benefits:
- Permanent, part-time position (25 hours per week)
