Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Head Baker to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation, baking, cake decorating, and kitchen operations to ensure our guests receive outstanding quality and service. Responsibilities
- You- Want to bring your creativity in baking - Must be a resident in Canada and have a work permit- have these qualifications:
- Lead and manage the baking team to deliver high-quality food, including baked goods and beautifully decorated cakes.
- Oversee daily food preparation, cooking, baking, and food handling processes to maintain safety standards.
- Ensure all food industry regulations are followed diligently, including food safety protocols and proper packaging procedures.
- Develop new recipes and menu items that showcase creativity in cake decorating and culinary presentation.
- Post secondary education in the culinary arts would be an asset
- 5 days week employment- full time
- Making of breads, scones, cookies, cinnamon buns, squares, pies and custom orders
- Operate heavy duty mixer and smaller mixer to combine ingredients
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep the bakery operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
- Communicates information to supervisors and managers so that the team can respond accordingly. Responsible for keeping bakery in a clean and orderly condition, by performing cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, mixers, and wiping down surface areas.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance standards so that the team can operate efficiently and effectively.
- Follows all cafe operating policies and standards, including providing quality products, store safety and security. Ability to lift and move heavy loads of up to 20 lbs throughout the duration of the shift, as the position is physically demanding.Ability to learn quickly, perform repetitive, physical tasks Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work both alone and as part of a team

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
