This is an entry-level position based primarily within the hotel environment, working alongside hotel staff and guests. Candidates are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Best Western standards.
This position is physically demanding and requires regular walking, lifting, and general labour duties. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Must reside in or near Camrose
- Must be able to work afternoon shifts (2:00 PM-10:00PM)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Relocation assistance is not provided
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Sidewalk snow removal
- Garbage collection and disposal
- Carpet cleaning
- Assisting in banquet setup including dance floor
- Changing light bulbs
- Inspecting fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors
- Replacing batteries in electronic door locks
- Cleaning blocked drains
- Assisting with pool maintenance and checking pool parameters
On the job training will be provided for daily operational tasks, including safe handling procedures and hotel maintenance routines.
