Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
- Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently.
- Care for flooring through proper cleaning techniques such as floor care procedures including buffing and polishing when necessary.
- Restock supplies like toiletries, towels, and amenities to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
- Follow safety protocols related to janitorial and industrial cleaning to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly to uphold the quality standards of the hotel.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred.
- Experience with various cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning equipment and floor care is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service excellence is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with janitorial practices, custodial responsibilities, and basic maintenance procedures enhances performance in this role.
- Previous supervisory or housekeeping management experience is beneficial but not required; a proactive attitude towards learning is valued.
