Belvent Manufacturing Ltd. is an Edmonton-based HVAC sheet metal manufacturing company. We design and produce high-quality ventilation and HVAC components for commercial and residential applications. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant & Bookkeeper to join our team and help keep our office running smoothly.
About the Role
This is a combined administrative and bookkeeping position suited for someone who enjoys variety in their workday. You will handle a range of office administration duties alongside day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities. This is a full-time, permanent, in-person role based in Edmonton, AB.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general office administration including managing correspondence, scheduling, filing, and document management
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and basic financial reports
- Assist with HST/GST filings and year-end preparation
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
- Support the management team with general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a combined administrative/bookkeeping or similar role
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or any equivalent platform)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in a manufacturing or trades environment is an asset
