We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Cobourg. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a stable workload in a growing, family-oriented business with real growth potential.
What You’ll Do
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Enter bills and expenses into QuickBooks Online
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including cheque runs
- Process payroll (using Payworks)
- Create customer invoices and manage Accounts Receivable collections
- Prepare financial reports and job-costing reports to support the Owner and management team
- Handle EHT, HST and WSIB filings
- Manage filing and organization of financial documents
- Maintain accurate job costing and financial records for construction projects
- Work with Buildertrend for project-related financial data
- Support the overall financial health of the company
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience
- College diploma or University degree in Accounting (preferred)
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred)
- Experience with Buildertrend and Payworks (strong assets)
- Strong understanding of HST, WSIB, and construction industry accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a small-team environment
- Construction industry experience is highly preferred
