Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-time Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a focus on cleanliness, and a positive attitude. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. Must be available every weekend.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and basic kitchen duties
- Ensure all items are properly stored after cleaning to facilitate efficient kitchen operations
- Follow safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation practices
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by providing timely and efficient dishwashing services
- Adhere to all health regulations and restaurant policies to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaborative work
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food service practices is beneficial but not mandatory
