Overview:
Performs work as part of a team in a Clean Room facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.
Washroom
- Weighs carted soiled merchandise to assure the proper weight for laundering.
- Pushes carts to wash area.
- Loads soiled merchandise into washers.
- Activates washers insuring proper weight, balance, water temperature and cleansing material.
- Removes clean merchandise from washers and moves by Carts to Dryer.
- Maintains appropriate, required production records.
- Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Weighs slinged or carted soiled merchandise to assure the proper weight for laundering.
- Hoists slings or pushes carts to wash area.
- Loads soiled merchandise into washers.
- Activates washers insuring proper weight, balance, water temperature and cleansing material.
- Removes clean merchandise from washers and moves by slings or carts to extractor, dryer, or steam tunnel.
- Maintains appropriate, required production records.
- Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities. Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 20-30lbs regularly throughout the day.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions; Working knowledge of basic math skills; Good verbal and/or written communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Ability to meet attendance schedule; Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends. Overtime required as needed.
