This position is located in Tilbury, ON and works a 12-hour continental rotation.
OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring facility equipment and machinery are maintained in a proactive and efficient manner to support optimal production. As a member of the RS team, the successful candidate will help foster a culture that prioritizes the well-being of others through health and safety best practices, while demonstrating the company's core values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork, and professional growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment

Perform building repairs and maintenance as required

Complete all scheduled preventative maintenance activities

Maintain accurate work orders, records, and preventative maintenance documentation

Assist in equipment error-proofing initiatives

Collaborate with Electricians to resolve equipment issues efficiently and effectively

Support the Maintenance Department in maintaining a safe, productive, and efficient workplace

Ensure all required paperwork and database entries are completed to support efficient workflow processes

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements, including the ability to be fit tested for and wear a half-mask respirator

Assist the Engineering Department with research, trials, development, and selection of new equipment and processes to improve production

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Communicate equipment conditions and repair status to the Production Department on a daily basis

Comply with all Company Safety policies and applicable local, provincial, and federal regulations

Perform other duties as assigned
TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS
-
College Diploma preferred
-
Certification in at least one of the following trades: Millwright, Toolmaker, or Machine Tool Builder

Minimum five years of experience in Maintenance and/or Machine Building

Fabrication and machining experience required

Hydraulic and Fluid Power experience required

Basic understanding of electrical systems

Experience with building and environmental systems considered an asset

Industrial Oven and/or HVAC experience considered an asset

Forklift/Lift Truck certification

Working at Heights certification

Overhead Crane certification
-
Proficient in GMAW and SMAW welding processes
