Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aides to provide exceptional in-home support to clients in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for individuals across various age groups and health conditions, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Support with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with activities of daily living such as toileting and mobility exercises
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
- Support clients with dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and dementia care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Valid certification or training in caregiving is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications required for the role
