Job Overview:
As a Shipping/Warehouse Associate at our Equipment Rental Company, you are the driving force behind our daily operations. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, organization, and movement of a wide variety of rental equipment from small tools and construction machinery to heavy equipment and event rentals.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Shipping & Dispatch:
- Accurately pick and stage rental equipment based on customer reservations, work orders, or dispatch schedules.
- Prepare equipment for customer pickup or delivery, including attaching accessories (blades, buckets, hoses, augers) as specified.
- Attach rental tags, safety labels, and instruction sheets to equipment before dispatch.
Equipment Receiving & Returns:
- Receive returned rental equipment from customers, delivery drivers, or service trucks.
- Conduct thorough damage inspections upon return, documenting any new damage, excessive wear, or missing parts.
Warehouse & Yard Organization:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse and outdoor yard.
- Organize small tools, accessories, and consumables on shelving or pegboards with clear labeling.
- Keep aisles, walkways, and fire lanes clear and accessible at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $21.84-$25.76 per hour
