Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, providing excellent customer service and supporting the overall dining experience. Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food orders promptly from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist servers with food delivery and table setup as needed, supporting smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and supplies are stocked and sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order timing and special requests.
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during handling and delivery of dishes.
- Support the cleaning of dining areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills
- Previous food service experience preferred, including restaurant or hospitality roles.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and guests.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar is a plus.
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving techniques, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in delivering orders accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
