Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or blueprint reading is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including material handling and site organization
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to support carpentry, framing, or other construction tasks
- Support skilled trades such as plumbing, welding, or flooring installation as directed
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, or schematics to assist with project execution
- Perform tasks related to restoration work and construction painting to ensure quality finishes
- Aid in tile laying, caulking, or other specialized tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Support team members in lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, plumbing, welding, or flooring installation is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred but training will be provided for those interested in developing this skill
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety procedures and protocols
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction painting, tile laying, caulking, or restoration projects is a plus but not mandatory
