The Repair Planner is responsible for maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company, supporting the collision and restorative repair shop and the achievement of total customer satisfaction. The Repair Planner must handle communication with the adjuster and customer regarding status of the vehicle. This position is often the main point of contact with Fix Auto for the customer; the incumbent must strive to represent the Company in a professional manner. The Repair Planner follows the file from the time of appraisal until final presentation, they own the experience start to finish, engendering better communication and workflow. The candidate must have knowledge of creating Estimate for repairs for vehicles.

Job Duties:
· Handle all appraisals, work authorizations, repair orders, supplements and warranties when dealing with the customer, striving to maintain and improve closing ratio for the company.
· Follow up on customer appraisals, in order to increase closing ratio.
· As required, develop and implement follow-up program on appraisals.
· Ensure ongoing communication with adjuster, production staff and customer regarding repair status.
· Inspect repair and meet with customer when picking up vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Work to resolve any customer concerns or dissatisfaction.
· Determine the priority of tasks within the scope of the position.
· Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
· Cultivate a positive working relationship with team members and management.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area in order to comply with all health & safety procedures.
· Communicate and document repair status to customers and insurance companies.
· Other related tasks as required.
Requirements:
· High school or college automotive body repair diploma.
· At least 1 year of direct experience in a similar role
· A complete understanding of the day to day collision repair duties including estimating, production scheduling and meeting deadlines
· Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines
· Solid MCE Mitchell cloud Estimating skills, Mitchell Repair Center and Audatex skills
· Possess a valid drivers' license.
· Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative in a busy environment.
· Highly organized, analytical and motivated; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
· Strongly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
· Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
· Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
· Computer Skills - MS Office applications, Outlook, Estimating Software
Working Conditions:
· Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
· Overtime as required.
· Hazards associated with the trade.
· Exposure to loud noises.
· Work both indoors and outdoors.
