Mobile Outreach Worker – Community-Based Healthcare

We are a community-based healthcare provider seeking a caring and resourceful Mobile Outreach Worker to deliver essential health services to individuals who may not have easy access to traditional care.
Position Details
- Part-time position: 2–3 days per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Travel throughout North Nanaimo and surrounding communities is required
- All travel time is paid, and mileage reimbursement is provided
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to community spaces such as shelters, resource centers, and local events to connect with individuals in need of support.
- Partner with local health professionals, non-profits, and social agencies to coordinate outreach visits and ensure follow-up care.
- Offer education on assistive listening devices.
- Handle basic administrative duties, such as maintaining client records, scheduling visits, and tracking outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in outreach, social work, healthcare assistance, or related roles is an asset but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully across diverse backgrounds.
- Organized and dependable, able to manage a varied weekly travel schedule.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle. All travel and travel time are covered by hourly wage, plus kilometer reimbursement.
