Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sandwich Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches and other menu items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, customer service, and food industry operations within a dynamic restaurant setting.
Duties
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their ordering process using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety of food served
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment for customers
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Good multitasking abilities with attention to detail in order accuracy and cleanliness
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
Pay: $17.80-$18.00 per hour
