Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Our fleet consists of pickups, 5-ton trucks, triaxles, wheel loaders of various sizes, and specialized snow removal equipment.
We pride ourselves on maintaining our equipment to the highest standards to ensure reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including pickups, 5-ton trucks, triaxles, and wheel loaders.
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct inspections under supervision and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule preventive maintenance and address urgent repair needs.
- Work evening and overnight shifts, with flexibility to accommodate extended hours during peak winter seasons.
Qualifications:
- Enrolment in a 310T Apprenticeship Program.
- Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Basic understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
