Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting medical practitioners by providing administrative and clinical assistance. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures in a courteous and professional manner
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for patient appointments
- Assist healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs and recording patient information
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and handle correspondence efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas and administrative spaces
- Support billing processes by processing payments and insurance documentation as required
- Provide general administrative support to the medical team, including filing, data entry, and other clerical duties, Order vaccines, referal s , communicating with other offices
Qualifications
- Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in patient care
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct
