Position Summary
The incumbent is responsible for the full range of the department’s administrative responsibilities including providing assistance with tracking and monitoring the department’s budget, coordinating with other CC department’s (such as Finance, HR, Registrar’s, Academic and Facility Services), generating staff contracts, submitting staff time sheets, and responding to walk in visits and email inquiries. The incumbent advises international students on a day*to*day basis, responds to immediate inquiries through e*mail and in person, and refers students as appropriate. The incumbent assists with the completion of the semi*annual DLI report along with the international advisors. The incumbent is responsible for processing all international student payment plan requests every semester, and also the processing of international student bursary and scholarship applications, confirming eligibility and tracking of awards.

Transferable skills in assertiveness, decision-making and problem solving, triaging and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to operate within a computerized accounting system. The knowledge and ability to analyze and compare financial reports and to compile quarterly reports for internal verification and for submission to external funders & partners.
Demonstrated experience with clerical skills such as organizing files, maintain student records, writing memos, letters, emails and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Experience interacting and communicating with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have exceptional organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure and stress and to manage multiple demands/tasks within tight timeframes with frequent interruptions.
Previous experience in the registrar’s department of a post secondary institution would be an asset.
