Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Sales Manager to support our retail operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth, managing store activities, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The Assistant Sales Manager will assist in implementing sales strategies, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the team meets performance goals.
Duties
- Support the Store Manager in developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and store presentation
- Lead and motivate sales associates to achieve individual and team sales goals
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and excellent customer service skills
- Oversee cashiering activities, including cash handling, POS transactions, and balancing registers
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members
- Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
- Assist with purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize sales opportunities
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns within the store
- Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies
- Support budgeting efforts and monitor expenses to ensure profitability
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales management or supervisory roles with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective customer engagement
- Experience with merchandising, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of retail management practices including pricing strategies, marketing, and store operations
- Ability to recruit, train, and develop team members effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management abilities
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and record keeping
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with effective phone etiquette and customer service orientation

Pay: $19.60-$20.00 per hour
