Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to work with precision tools and machinery. The Welder/Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications using welding techniques.
- Assemble parts and structures by fitting, welding, and securing them together.
- Operate various machinery including press brake machines, forklifts, and cranes as needed.
- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and cranes safely.
- Ability to fabricate metal components accurately using calipers and other measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of schematics for effective assembly and fabrication.
- Experience with rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely.
- Knowledge of operating press brake machines is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- 5 Years of experience required
