Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering & Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations and catering services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant and catering operations. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel environments is highly desirable. The Catering & Kitchen Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality food service and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Oversee catering operations from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed using Micros POS or similar systems.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and service improvements.
- Assist with restaurant management duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant environment.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Background in hospitality or hotel experience is preferred.
- Previous roles involving food handling, serving, or restaurant management are highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in fast-paced settings such as restaurants or the food industry.
- Experience with interviewing potential staff members and conducting training sessions is a plus. Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
