Please Note: This is a temporary full-time contract position for approximately 6 months to cover a leave of absence, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
Well, hello there! Thanks for taking a break from your emails and to-do list to check out our job posting.
The Gig
Think of this role as the quarterback for “stuff that makes everyone’s life easier.” You’ll take messy things and make them look pro, keep licenses up to date, and basically make sure we don’t miss anything critical while we’re out building and renovating homes that will last decades.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Editing/formatting docs like a boss
- Managing our Constant Contact newsletter
- Booking meetings & boardrooms, ordering lunch
- Vendor management: Make sure our trade partners keep insurance and WorkSafeBC tight
- Organize onboarding for team members + clients
- Business license renewals (because red tape isn’t going away)
- Keep Slack → Google Drive filing sane
- Order company apparel so the crew stays fresh
- Update policies/procedures manual
- Set up groups in Google Workspace, Smartsheet & Slack
- Timesheet oversight (herding cats, basically)
- Answer basic phone calls with your charm
You’ll Crush This Role If You…
- Are organized enough to make Marie Kondo jealous
- Love tech (we run Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Slack daily)
- Can roll with changing priorities without losing your cool
- Don’t need hand-holding (but know when to ask)
Perks You’ll Actually Care About:
- Casual dress (yes, hoodies count)
- Company events (we know how to have fun)
- Dental, vision, extended health, disability insurance
- Paid time off
- Tuition reimbursement (learn stuff, on us)
- Flexible schedule & WFH most of the time
- Access to our office gym (because desk life needs balance)

Who Are We?
We are Sprucehill Homes, an award-winning custom home builder and renovator based in North Vancouver. We specialize in taking people’s dreams and turning them into homes they can actually live in (no, we don’t just make Pinterest boards). Most of our work happens on the North Shore (think Deep Cove to Lions Bay), but we venture out to Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, and occasionally, Maple Ridge—because adventure, right?
What We’re All About:
At Sprucehill Homes, we’re big on teamwork—two of our team members have been with us for over 10 years, and others are clocking in at 5+ years. We believe in keeping a light-hearted, family-like atmosphere where everyone cares about what they do and has fun doing it. And no, it's not that toxic "family" work bs you see on social media. We work hard and laugh hard too. You gotta keep a balance!
We’ve grown fast (doubled in size last year, planning to do it again), and our commitment to quality is unwavering. We have won a Georgie and a HAVAN award and have been finalists 22 other times, sooooooo we’re not just blowing smoke.
Keeping Company Culture:
- We get together once every twelve weeks for beers and appetizers, so you can unwind with the crew.
- Every year, we throw in a company-wide camping trip to Whistler with trade partners and families (it’s optional, but come on—it’s camping!).
- We have weekly team checkins with the whole team to make sure nothing is being overlooked, discuss safety and just generally say hi
- You'll have formal weekly one on one's with your colleagues and frequent checkins with Erik to make sure any questions you have get answered - we all win together (and sometimes we learn together - that's OK too!)
