We are currently hiring a Financial Planner supporting our Strathroy Branch. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
The Financial Planner role participates in Libro's Sales Compensation program. Under this structure, the base salary for this role will be $79,725 + sales incentives (quarterly + annual payouts).
The Financial Planner takes a proactive approach to helping the mass affluent segment of members achieve their financial goals – including understanding each member’s financial situation, life goals and tolerance for risk. By working with other members of branch & regional teams, they ensure all opportunities are identified and referred to the appropriate representatives to build a full financial relationship with members.
Financial Planners must believe in the long-term power of investment markets to generate excess returns over savings and/or other guaranteed deposits. They will communicate this belief to members, colleagues, and potential investors. This role is designed for experienced Wealth professionals looking to grow their practice management skills, with an emphasis on planning and observational coaching.
This role is dually employed between Libro Credit Union and Aviso Wealth.
The Role:
- Build relationships with up to ~300 member households of ~$85,000 - $450,000 in investable assets appropriate for managed investment solutions.
- Proactively engage with members and prospects by responding to referrals, data insights and market intelligence to grow portfolio.
- Translate member goals and priorities into modular based financial planning software.
- Refer opportunities seamlessly to appropriate specialists to match expertise to member’s identified needs, including Regional Financial Planner, Insurance Reps, as well as personal and business segment specialists.
- Build relationships with industry professionals and community contacts across the region for ongoing business development.
- Mentor and support peers and teams to identify referral opportunities and best meet member needs.
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal teams and business segments to effectively service members and grow business.
- Work with local Branch Manager and assigned wealth support to create an ongoing business plan identifying activities and setting goals to achieve individual performance expectations and support regional wealth portfolio growth.
- Meet the compliance of established Libro and regulatory policies, procedures and processes to effectively and accurately serve members.
- Make smart risk decisions that protect our members and Libro.
- Maintain all continuing education and licensing requirements of the various regulators and self-regulating organizations: e.g., OSC, CIRO, Aviso Wealth, FP Canada, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- PFP, CFP and/or QAFP designation.
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience, with at least two years in a full-time managed investment role (mutual fund sales).
- A passion for helping people grow their financial well-being.
