Position Summary
Optima Living is seeking a creative, data-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to support and execute marketing initiatives across our parent brand and residential communities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys both strategy and execution, and is passionate about building engaging digital experiences that drive occupancy and community awareness.
Reporting to the Digital Growth Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in enhancing brand awareness, strengthening digital presence, and supporting marketing initiatives that promote Optima Living’s communities across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Execution
- Plan, execute, and monitor digital marketing campaigns increasing brand awareness, website traffic, and occupancy across 40+ communities.
- Support and coordinate paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, YT, and programmatic platforms.
- Assist with writing, optimizing, and launching digital ads.
- Assist with the coordination and proofing of website content.
Social Media & Content Creation / Management
- Oversee and manage the content calendar across all platforms and channels.
- Work with agencies implementing social media and content strategy.
- Project manage social media campaigns from concept to execution.
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content for social media channels.
- Write, edit, and approve blog posts aligned with brand messaging, Optima core values, and marketing objectives.
SEO, AEO/GEO & Website Support
- Manage and coordinate SEO/AEO/GEO efforts to improve search rankings and visibility.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging search trends, including AI-driven search (AEO/GEO), and proactively identify opportunities to position Optima Living in AI-generated results and answer engines.
- Optimize content for both traditional search engines and AI discovery—ensuring structured, high-quality, and authoritative content that performs across evolving search experiences.
- Partner with internal teams and external agencies to continuously improve site architecture, content strategy, linking architecture and technical SEO.
- Support website updates, development projects, and content enhancements, ensuring strong performance, usability, and conversion.
- Ensure website content is optimized for performance and user experience.
Email Marketing
- Plan, execute, and monitor email marketing campaigns.
- Build and manage segmented email lists and drip campaigns.
Analytics & Reporting
- Pull and analyze reports from Google Analytics and other marketing tools.
- Track campaign performance and provide actionable insights.
- Report on ROI and key metrics for digital campaigns, including paid ads.
Community & Event Marketing
- Coordinate marketing-led community events.
- Support promotional efforts for residential communities.
- Assist with special campaigns such as Food Bank initiatives, Open Houses, and local outreach.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in digital marketing or a related role.
- Strong writing skills and understanding of SEO, social media, email marketing, paid advertising, and copywriting.
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong understanding of modern search trends, including SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and AI-driven discovery, with a passion for staying ahead of digital marketing and AI search evolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Creative thinker with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in senior living, real estate, property management, or multi-location marketing is an asset.
- Diploma or Degree in Digital Marketing.
