Drake Medox College is seeking passionate, experienced, and student-centered nurses to join our team as a full-time Health Care Assistant (HCA) Classroom Instructor at both our Vancouver and Surrey Campus. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing students for rewarding careers in health care by delivering high-quality classroom instruction and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Position Summary
The Health Care Assistant Classroom Instructor is responsible for delivering theory-based and lab skills instruction in accordance with the Health Care Assistant program curriculum and college policies. The instructor will engage students through effective teaching practices, assess student performance, and support learners in achieving program competencies required for employment in the health care sector. Training and structured learning plans and resources provided.
Mandatory Qualifications
· A minimum of 2 years of full-time nursing experience in Canada (or 2800 hrs)
· Current full registration with the BCCN&M - BC College of Nurses & Midwives
· Demonstrated ability to mentor and/or teach adult learners
· Experience working with older adults with complex care needs in home
support and multi-level/complex care
Bonus Qualifications
· Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or instructional experience.
· Adult education or instructor training certification.
· Experience teaching Health Care Assistant students or other health care programs.
· Familiarity with provincial HCA curriculum standards and competencies.
