Radisson Hotel and Conference Calgary Airport is looking for energetic individual for the position of Sales Manager provides support to the sales and events team to the overall success of the Hotel by leading and maintaining guest standards for sales and marketing.

We are looking for a strong Sales Manager to help drive revenue, improvements in service and team building, the successful candidate will be dynamic and engaging, guest focused with an eye for detail, while working toward Radisson Hotel Group Philosophy.
Responsibilities
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Targeting, soliciting, and penetrating new accounts in the Corporate, Travel Agencies, SMERF and Group Corporate segment.
- Conduct outside sales calls, telephone solicitation and site inspections to build relationships, aggressively target new business, and grow accounts.
- Attend industry events, educational workshops, trade shows, and company sponsored conferences after hours. (As when required)
- Participate in industry related clubs, societies, organizations and/or committees which may entail after hour meetings. (As when required)
- Entertain clients on/offsite, representing the hotel in a professional manner.
- Conduct site tours for potential clients.
- Participates in applicable Radisson brand corporate training programs.
- Work with Radisson and hotel sales related systems.
- Represent the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Calgary Airport brand for events, and sales related activities.
- Evaluate business/sales goals, market opportunities, and available resources to generate profitable strategies.
- Provide customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy for assigned segments to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Work with industry tools such as Opera, Lanyon, Meeting Broker, RFP to shift identified market share.
- Research competitor’s sales and marketing team strategies to identify ways to grow occupancy and RevPAR and increase market share.
- Engage with Radisson brand contacts for required brand sales and marketing initiatives, training, feedback and coaching to help others develop their skills and careers.
- Ensure all client interactions are documented and in hotel database systems.
- Promote a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers.
- Responsible with group booking 10 guest rooms and above with meeting / conference and events and being the main point of contact in sending cost estimate, contract, booking rooms in Opera and meeting rooms in Delphi and once event is confirmed, contract / file is being passed over to catering department to preparation of banquet event order.
- Ensuring rooms & Event billings are all in order and accurate and PM accounts are being closed in a timely manner.
- Social media and other duties may be required.
Qualification & Experience:
· A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management
· A minimum 3-4 years of hotel sales experience is required
· knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lanyon, Cvent, Salesforce, and OPERA
