CarboNet is currently seeking a Production Operator at our Delta, BC facility. CarboNet specializes in clean chemistry for industrial water treatment, with a focus on innovating new polymers and chemical processes. Our production team keeps pace with our chemistry — turning breakthrough formulations into consistent, high-quality product at scale.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Production Operator to join our Delta facility and play a central role in the day-to-day manufacturing of our water treatment chemical products. This is a hands-on, in-person role where you’ll work closely with our technical and operations teams to safely produce, optimize, and ship chemical products at production scale.
You’ll report to the Plant Manager and receive thorough onboarding and training in our materials, processes, and safety systems – including WHMIS, TDG, and First Aid where applicable.
What You’ll Do
Production & Formulation
- Prepare, blend, and batch chemical formulations according to established recipes and SOPs
- Operate and monitor production equipment through full batch cycles
- Support scale-up activities as production volumes grow
- Assist in optimizing batch workflows, throughput, and process consistency
Process Development & Documentation
- Accurately document batch data, observations, yields, and performance metrics
- Work with the technical team to test and refine production processes
- Apply knowledge of hands-on production processes to assist in the development and maintenance of SOPs and production batch records
Quality Control
- Perform QA/QC checks on raw materials and finished chemical products
- Maintain clear, accurate records of product performance indicators throughout batch production
- Track consistency across batches, identify issues, and support troubleshooting
Equipment & Facility
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
- Perform basic repairs on pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment
- Uphold a clean, safe, and organized production environment at all times
Operations & Logistics
- Support shipping, receiving, and general production logistics
- Contribute to team meetings and report on production progress and issues
Who You Are
Technical Skills
- 4+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment
- Hands-on experience with chemical mixing, batching, or formulation work
- Familiarity with process documentation: SOPs, batch records, and quality logs
- Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment
- Experience with using hand tools and power tools for construction and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift and/or reach truck
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality output
Human Skills
- Practical, solutions-oriented problem solver who takes initiative
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Takes safety seriously – for yourself, your teammates, and the facility
Nice to Have
- WHMIS, TDG (Transport of Dangerous Goods), or First Aid certification (training will be provided for required certifications)
- Forklift Operator’s license (training will be provided to ensure valid license)
- Experience with water treatment chemicals and/or specialty chemicals
- Experience supporting production scale-up facilities
