Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Full-Time Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond promptly to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce security protocols and access control procedures to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly and effectively to security breaches or emergencies
- Document incidents thoroughly in reports and communicate with law enforcement when necessary
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
- Maintain a visible presence to reassure staff and visitors of their safety
- Conduct routine checks of security equipment to ensure proper functioning
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Physical fitness to patrol the premises as needed
- Must pass background checks and any required training certifications
- Availability for full-time hours, including flexible shifts as needed
- Police record check

Eligibility to Work in Canada:

- Proof of eligibility must be current and valid (not expired, cancelled or voided). Proof of eligibility will be required if an offer of employment is made. Failure to provide proof of eligibility at least two (2) weeks prior to the start date in the offer of employment may result in the offer of employment being rescinded.

Pay: $19.75-$23.00 per hour
