Aforza Tennis Club is Calgary’s premier tennis and padel tennis facility, offering high-quality training and programs for players of all ages and levels. We are committed to developing athletes both on and off the court, and fitness is a critical component of our performance pathway.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Fitness Coach on a part time basis (Monday to Friday each week from 5-7 p.m.) to design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate fitness sessions for our junior athletes. These roles are central to supporting the development of players in our Performance, High Performance, and Orange & Green programs for players aged 7-18 years of age).
We are seeking in-house fitness expertise to continue strengthening our other programs and keep our athletes performing at their best.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead fitness sessions tailored to junior tennis athletes (ages 7–18).
- Work under the direction of the lead fitness coach.
- Focus on improving athletic performance, injury prevention, and overall conditioning.
- Collaborate with Aforza’s tennis coaches to align fitness goals with on-court training.
- Track player progress and adjust training plans accordingly.
- Create a safe, motivating, and inclusive training environment.
Qualifications
- Certification in Personal Training, Strength & Conditioning, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with junior athletes is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of athletic development, mobility, and injury prevention.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team.
Compensation
- Competitive and based on candidate credentials / experience.
- Approx. 8–12 hours per week depending on program scheduling.
