We're not just another restaurant; we're a vibrant hub where the spirit of the Maritimes lives in beautiful Peggy's Cove. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you'll be the face of our establishment, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining and drinking experience.
Position Type: Seasonal July-November 1st, 2026).
Availability: Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Transportation: No public transit is available to Peggy’s Cove. Reliable personal transportation is a strict requirement for this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and maintaining the cash register.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of low supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Be a team player, assisting when needed and coordinating duties with other FOH staff
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
Skills
- Must have valid serve right certification (NS)
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Ability to lift and carry trays or restock kegs/cases (up to 30-50 lbs).
- Strong customer service skills to create a positive experience for guests.
- Proficient in using POS systems for order processing and payment transactions.
- Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety standards are met.
- Accurate cash handling and transaction management is required
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and change accurately.
- A helpful attitude towards colleagues and customers alike.
